practice minute 1 -- bs 360 ramp bank

so i decided to make "practice minute" clips for a while, less than two minutes counts! in order to keep learning editing stuff and practicing moves or whatnot without pressures of it supposed to being super awesome all the time.
the main goal is to 2 B interesting then.
at least for that min or so.
thought this would be funny 1st(3rdish) "practice minute" music using the "PINGO" jam "mashup" of two songs crammed into one, "jealous lovers/gossip." when i heard it kick in with vocals as i fell, then say "you can't stop crying!" after i'd suddenly rocked myself hard enough to get a headache was busting up. and then stuck with it. don't want to waste all the best songs for practicing that i might want to use later. ;) what do you guys think of all these crazy tracks? i carefully put music to accentuate flow!

each of the video clips are of multiple different attempts, except for the final lander with slow then repeated. i do lots of efforts skating, know i'm not actually very good. will be completely pouring sweat until exhausted.. then go back for more. kind of a die hard like that, have been as long as i can remember. all by yourself. pushing through a physical state of being, using mentality not found in "normal" life has a special appeal. skating adds the OCD technical part needed to keep at it. but it all comes down to HOW IT FEELS. to be alive. right now.
after doing practice minute clips maybe there will be enough for a "good parts of practice mins montage."
who knows, maybe one day even something good?

360

made a bank, tried a 3

fail

we made this sweet bank ramp to gain speed in order to clear the gap between the two ramps. started landing some 360s off the side, until the camera came out...

ChurchOfManualMayday

this one'll need an explainer... i have such high expectations for my self all the time. one thing to notice is that left foot forward skating for me is the same as left handed things for you. i have lot's of stuff i know i can do so is "easy." everything's new at some point, so decided to really push my switch nose manual. worked at a fakie flip, bigspin, fullcab, frontshovit, or SOMETHING new out of the switch nose manual i can already do. but fail for hours, wearing my jangly old body down.
wanted to make a clip of the day vid (COD) that shows the passionate efforts put into skating. there WILL be lands to come.
but being out there getting lost in a multi-layered challenge (artistic, physical, mental, time/spacial etc) is one of the most engaging things in life. like a puzzle for your whole being.
the manual up and back while ender walks up, 180 out - move camera - nose manual around moseying ender, might be the best tricks i've ever done lol. while going around him i was balancing trying to decide if i should go for the 180 out, but REALLY wanted a MAKE more than another stupid tricky fall for the archives. Ender's an awesome skater, one of the best i know! even though he rarely steps hoof on board.. that doesn't matter.
check Johns fancy filming on the rolling shots! and overall music to vid flow as usual.

rail

i got a free broken skate rail that still had usable legs a while ago from, where else? craigslist! like almost everything else i own. yesterday i got creative and broke 4 or 5 drillbits drilling holes all the way through the broken (white) rail and into this amazing 10' stainless steel rail i've had for a few years. with 4 skate hardware bolts i'd wobbily attached legs to steel and wood and could skate it! obviously nothing spectacular here, was just trying to get out and have some fun.
HUGE thank you and props! to Shyrey for bringing his cam and taking the time and efforts to nicely film the stuff i'm in on these missions! and John too. there'd be no footage without that.
look for the vids i make to carefully flow with the music.

johns 21st birthday whatcom falls jump

on john's 21ST Birthday, we stepped up from the northfork bridge height and went to whatcom falls with the camera to do something fun and memorable!
i'm scared of heights, really trying to challenge myself to get used to it. this one is enough that the inexperienced (myself) think twice, and have to finally just pull the trigger and DO it if you're going to jump. i'd been to the whatcom falls "big one" once before and only jumped once. thing is, when we're in a group people tend to push each other.
a couple min video of this, our latest mission is in the works to be posted on youtube as well. until then, because it was full vid then slowmo tricks last time, i thought it would be fun to post slowmo first this time then round out with the movie to create a symmetry that only i would find noticeable.. mm?

john IS the 21 year old flying squirrel! regs then slow. FULL extension with perfectly formed landing.
Merry 21st Bday man!

colleen eyed it for a min gauging then WENT as soon as i got up there!! we were all tremendously impressed!
my height tester 180

shyrey hucked and spun his first jump, crazy from so far up! it's worth noting that his glasses are sitting on the rock while he does this.
so i had to do it too.

shyrey spidermonkey
regular speed motion with the full cliff framed illustrates hang time

this is my favorite move again, with a little less spinning traded for more stylish tweaking. CORK the 5(40), gather while rotating out (180).
really felt extended on this one!

Merry Birthday John!!
