skatepaint AND THAT'S THE MINI RAMP

you can already see as it's drying too much got globbed on there in the first coat and we've got drips etc. i'd highly recommend patience and multi-coating! then again, it did get rained on the next day which invariably seeps through my patchwork tarp arrangement but wasn't able to soak in finally! sort of like a wax treatment for you car.

smoothed things out a bit.

hah! yes, it's very important that i flex throughout the entire photo shoot.

colleen and i hand rollered the whole thing, then got the pole.

beautiful sticky 8's

but with polyurethane in it

this stuff is like honey

  2. lol, the one on my wrist?
it's an imaginary numbers symbol with some tricky swirling symbology.

  3. Yeah that one lol. That sounds awesome, bet you drew/designed it yourself huh? No one else can do stuff like you. I bet you could sell designs for tattoos! Sounds good. While we're on the topic, have you gotten any other ones?

  5. That stuff looks seriously goopy! Is it made just for ramps??? Was it hard to put on? I've been painting the floor in Natalie's room (to get rid of cat pee smell...fun), but I think that stuff is waaaay worse to use!

  6. yah, skatepaint is supposed to be special "gym-floor" type stuff. a little slippery but very protectant for here in rainy bellingham. it was a nightmare to get off ourselves, but went on the surface easily enough. we made the amateur mistake of trying to glop on a lot instead of going for two coats so ended up with some drips. but overall i'm pleased with the result so far.

  7. i thought i'd mention here, in case somehow someone views this trying to find out about skatepaint, that the stuff is SLIPPERY still. but only when it gets cold or wet. we've found ourselves not being able to skate in the evening when it's nice and cool! as it's worn off over the past few months it's a little better, but there are now raw spots where it's gone.
we've gotten a better idea of what it's all about, so i plan on creating a blog for other people to see what it's all about.
it definitely a protector. with good and bad aspects. would've liked more info my self before i got any so..
